A nice sunny day, I know they seem to be very rare these day's, so I had to take advantage of the sun and go out for the day, so off I went to Somerset specifically Wells and Glastonbury Tor. Wells was the first stop, it was market day so I partook of a slice of cake and a coffee before visiting the Cathedral, dotted around Wells, are 60 large Swan statues decorated by artists in celebration of the Queens Diamond Jubilee, they're on display until September, so why not take a walk around this lovely village and see how many you can spot! The cathedral is free to enter, but they do ask for a donation to help with the upkeep of the cathedral, also if you would like to take photo's they will charge you for a photography licence, but this is a minimal fee of £3 and well worth the money! And you never know you may even encounter Louis the Cathedrals own cat, who can often be seen sleeping in the Bishops chair. Then it was off the Glastonbury Tor and the ruin of St Michaels church.
The Tor is said to be the home of Gwynn ap Nudd, the king of the fairies, when I arrived there were lots of people in lovely robes all trudging up the hill in preparations for a celebration, I walked around the Tor and respectfully watched their ritual, they stood in a large circle which certain people entered and spoke while others chanted, upon asking I found that this was the OBOD Druid Group celebrating the Day of Sigurd the Volsungo
