Saturday the 16th of May was the coming together of "The Pack" at the MK arena in Milton Keynes. "The Pack" are the team of volunteers chosen to work at the 13 different game venues or fanzones or in transport for the Rugby World Cup 2015. Our journey began on the 14th February 2014 there were 20,000 applicants, then came the interview stage, 10,000 applicants were interviewd last summer, then in Febrary this year 6,000 of the applicants found out if they had been successful. I am one of the successful applicants and I feel quite honoured to have been chosen out of the 20,000 people who applied. This past Saturday 4,000 of us got together to meet and bond and continue our special journey, a fantastic and interactive event was put on for us we sang Jerusalem (in tune) and got to meet and hear some of the greats of English, Welsh and French rugby speak, Jason Leonard, Bill Beaumont, Will Greenwood, Lawrence" Dallaglio, Shane Williams, Serge Betsen and last but by no means least the epic Maggie Alfonsi of the Womans England team, Inspired us to be and do all that we can to make this Rugby World Cup the best that has ever and will ever be So I for one will be taking as much as I can from this experience and giving all that I can for the Rugby World Cup 2015 "Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire! Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire! I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand, Till we have built Jerusalem In England's green and pleasant land"
